The current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has changed the working lives of most engineers. Whilst some are working flat out ensuring essential supplies continue to be delivered, others have had their lives disrupted and are working from home. For students and apprentices, educational establishments are closed and home study is the focus.

At Festo, we want to do what we can to help the engineering community. We know some people have a bit more time to learn something new, improve their knowledge and skills. Some businesses are using the time to prepare for the future. Many of you, from students to skilled engineers, might be trying to enhance their skills and chances of employment once the situation normalises.

To support engineers in the UK & Ireland in this difficult situation we have opened up all our online training packages for free. Each one provides free access to 26 courses until the end of July.

Although we are known for pneumatics, our training division teaches a wide range of topics including hydraulics, electrical engineering, electronics, PLC programming, sensor technology, electric drive technology, open & closed-loop control, safety, value stream analysis, Poka Yoke, TPM, 5S and much more.
